The TowerCares Foundation is excited to host the 2021 Tower Classic Golf Tournament! We are back at the beautiful Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville, Maryland, and are looking forward to a fun day of golf on a scenic 18-hole course. Enjoy good food and camaraderie, raffles, prizes, contests and more—all for a great cause: to benefit the TowerCares Foundation and the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
We do it for the children. Children like Daniel.
Before birth, Daniel was diagnosed with posterior urethral valves, and underwent two surgeries at the Johns Hopkins Children Center (JHCC) in Baltimore while in utero to try and save his bladder and kidneys. He required another surgery the day he was born. Daniel was diagnosed with stage 3 chronic kidney disease and required multiple surgeries in his first few years of life. In kindergarten, Daniel needed a new kidney—fortunately his dad was a match—and he received a kidney transplant. Today, Daniel is an active and healthy 10 year old who enjoys playing goalie for his local ice hockey team, and he has been named JHCC’s 2021 Child Ambassador.
Proceeds from the Tower Classic help provide critical resources for children like Daniel, and their families, receiving care at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Baltimore’s local Children’s Miracle Network hospital. Funds help purchase things that aren’t covered by insurance like special needs car seats, developmental toys to help children understand and prepare for medical care and safety gates for when children go home. Since 1998, the Tower Classic has raised over $400,000 for the Children’s Center.
We need your support
Tournament and hole sponsorships are available. We also welcome donations of gift certificates and other items for the tournament raffles and contests. Sponsors and donors will be recognized at the event, in the players’ program, in post-event publicity and on the TowerCares website. These donations help increase participation in the tournament, and the sponsorships and raffles are a critical part of our fundraising efforts.
Please note that while we seem to be easing out of the pandemic, the health and safety of our golfers, staff and volunteers remains a top priority and we are trying to limit person-to-person contact as much as possible the day of the event. Payments and donations will still be accepted at the tournament; however, we strongly encourage that all payments—registration, sponsorships, raffle tickets, mulligans etc.—be made in advance online or by mailed check.
