Tri-County Council Foundation – Project Opportunity

The TowerCares grant supports Project Opportunity, a free ten-week entrepreneurship program for Veterans and active duty/reserve personnel who wish to start a small business or expand a currently operating one. Classes are held in four locations throughout Maryland, including Howard and Prince George’s counties, and are taught by experts in the fields of marketing, law, accounting, banking and sales. Participants in the program learn how to write and implement a formal business plan. Eligible candidates are referred to the program by the State of Maryland, the Maryland Unemployment Office and the Veterans Administration (VA).
